Darin Royse, 45, was an outdoorsman
Darin "Scott" Royse, 45, of North Vernon died at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016 at his residence.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2016 at Vernon Baptist Church with the Rev. James Shuck officiating. Family and friends may call at the church Friday, October 21, 2016 from 1 p.m. until time of services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Mr. Royse worked for Robbins Stump Removal in North Vernon for two years. He had previously worked for AISIN in Seymour for five years and was a union drywall worker for seven years. Mr. Royse attended Vernon Baptist Church. His enjoyments were hunting, fishing, and being outdoors.

Born October 2, 1971 in Seymour, Mr. Royse was the son of Richard Royse Sr. and Marilyn Robbins Kincaid. He married Melissa "Lisa" Lawson October 1, 1994, in North Vernon and she survives.

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Kory (Hannah) Erwin of Seymour; daughter, Heather Royse of North Vernon; father, Richard Royse, Sr. of Brewersville; mother, Marilyn Kincaid of North Vernon; brothers, Richard (Penny) Jr., Kenny (Sherry) and Jeff (Julie) Royse, all of Brewersville; sisters, Crissy (Ben) Gatewood, Cindy Royse, and Jeannie (Darren) Harper, all of North Vernon; and a grandchild, Zoe Erwin of Seymour.

Mr. Royse was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home for expenses.
