I didn't draw elk, but I bought an OTC either-sex archery elk tag for Colorado. Better yet, I drew a Mule Deer tag for the same unit, as well as a Bear tag. It will sure be nice to have all three tags in my pocket during this hunt.

I hunted this same area last year and had only an elk tag. Naturally then, I had this nice buck one morning standing at 25-30 yards for about 10 minutes trying to figure me out. I could only take pictures :)

Here is a 5x5 bull elk which is one of three I've managed to get lucky and arrow in that same hunting area in recent years.

Thanks.

I forgot to mention I also got extremely lucky and pulled a Colorado Bighorn Sheep tag again this year (ewe tag). This time maybe I will try for an old matriarch ewe. This tag is during the rifle season in Oct, but we are allowed to use archery if desired.
